Protect Yourself Against Fraud
- Your grade is a big deal
Give dishonest agents the boot. Some agents promise shortcuts to higher grades or guaranteed approvals. If an agent suggests dishonest practices, walk away.
Never use an agent who:- Offers to inflate your financial statements
- Overstates your company’s track record
- Requests an admin fee or bribe
- Uses their own contact details on your application
- Guarantees approval or a higher grade
- Avoid Deregistration
Say NO to misrepresentation. Submitting false information to obtain a cidb grading is fraud. In terms of Section 19 of the CID Regulations, 2004, the cidb may deregister contractors whose grades were obtained fraudulently.
